We’re proud to share something truly special, a student-built digital twin of Digital Natives Academy (DNA), brought to life using Roblox Studio, Blender, and their growing arsenal of creative tech skills.
Using Roblox Studio, Roblox’s official game development engine two year two students, Stephanie and Diamond, recreated our physical DNA space as a fully explorable 3D environment. From introductions to key staff to a tour of our classrooms and creative hubs to chill zones, the build is a reflection of the kaupapa that powers DNA: safe spaces, connection, and next-gen digital upskilling.
This project draws on a range of technical and creative skills we actively teach and nurture:
- 3D modelling and environmental design (Blender)
- Game design and asset optimisation (Roblox Studio)
- Lua scripting for interactive elements
- Digital storytelling and UX thinking
- Collaboration and project-based learning
This immersive replica of DNA represents more than bricks and code. It’s a reflection of what we stand for: creative, innovative, grounded, digitally rich spaces where rangatahi are empowered to explore, create, and connect.
